1st.finance Acquires French Riviera Assets and Signs Long-Term Agreement with Entertainment Production House

Oct 13, 2026

The acquisition supports a new production partnership, with the properties set to host filming under a long-term agreement.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida Oct 12, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - 1st.finance today announced the acquisition of new properties on the French Riviera and a long-term agreement with on of the Top Hollywood Production Houses!

Acquired with the partnership in mind, the properties are intended to serve as filming locations for the production house's series.

The agreement connects 1st.finance's real-asset strategy with the production house's need for distinctive, location-rich settings. With their striking architecture and Mediterranean surroundings, the properties offer a compelling backdrop for the production while becoming part of https://1st.finance's broader portfolio of physical assets.

"This is an exciting step for 1st.finance," said Alex Oleff, Chief Operating Officer of 1st.finance.

"We're bringing together exceptional real-world properties and a long-term creative partnership. We believe opportunities like this show how thoughtfully selected assets can play a role beyond traditional ownership - as places where ambitious projects and memorable stories can take shape."

The partnership reflects https://1st.finance's focus on identifying assets with distinctive qualities and exploring how they may support broader commercial uses.

Further details about the production and filming schedule will be announced soon in our Zoom meetings.

What is work worth when thought is metered?

Your organisation buys human intelligence by the hour and machine intelligence by the million tokens. Only one of those prices is falling fast, and most management systems, from the timesheet to the pricing model, are still built around the other. I have spent my career applying technology to improve productivity and offset inflationary costs, and […] The post What is work worth when thought is metered? appeared first on e27.

NEU Battery Materials bags US$7.6M to mine lithium from the world’s least-loved battery

Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries have an awkward reputation among recyclers: they are everywhere, and they are worth very little once they die. Unlike the nickel- and cobalt-rich chemistries that recyclers have chased for a decade, a spent LFP cell offers no precious-metal jackpot. It holds lithium, iron and phosphate, and two of those are […] The post NEU Battery Materials bags US$7.6M to mine lithium from the world’s least-loved battery appeared first on e27.

Social impact is easy to pitch and hard to prove: 17 SEA startups taking the harder route

“Social impact” is one of the most overused phrases in a Southeast Asian pitch deck. Founders apply the label to themselves, and in a funding winter it gets stretched to cover almost anything with a farmer, a recycling bin or an “underserved” customer in the slide. So we went looking for startups that do more […] The post Social impact is easy to pitch and hard to prove: 17 SEA startups taking the harder route appeared first on e27.

How a detour saved a Malaysian trekker from jaws of deadly Nepal floods

It was a detour that saved his life. Malaysian Low Hock Meng, a 71-year-old veteran trekker, had set off on his own in Nepal. He wanted to explore the Tamang trail, Langtang Valley and Gosaikunda. Along his journey, he made the decision to visit the Nagathali viewpoint for a glimpse of Tibet on August 25. Low then made his way down towards Thuman en route to Lingling in Nepal’s Bagmati province on August 26. That is when he realised that something was seriously wrong. When he looked at Syapru...

US-China trade is entering an era of managed rivalry. Southeast Asian businesses should prepare for it

The most important change in US-China trade this year is not another tariff headline. It is the emergence of a more managed, transactional relationship between the world’s two largest economies. President Donald Trump’s May state visit to Beijing produced exactly that kind of arrangement. Washington and Beijing established new Boards of Trade and Investment, China […] The post US-China trade is entering an era of managed rivalry. Everyone is talking about AI adoption. But are enterprises actually ready for it?

A company can have hundreds of employees using ChatGPT, Copilot, or other AI tools every day, and still not be an AI-ready organisation. This may sound contradictory, but it is becoming increasingly common. Employees are experimenting with AI. Teams are building copilots. Companies are running pilots. Some are even putting AI into production. Yet ask […] The post Everyone is talking about AI adoption. But are enterprises actually ready for it? appeared first on e27.

Can Singapore engineer love on dating apps? From public service to private romance

For Singaporean civil servant Clare*, finding a suitable lifelong partner has been an uphill battle. Swiping on dating apps soon became a chore after multiple unsuccessful first dates, so when the government launched its own platform, the 32-year-old was all for it. “It’s like: ‘Why not?’, and I think it does have a few screening procedures so it might save you some trouble like having to deal with impersonators or people who do not match with their advertised profiles,” she said. Singapore...

Thailand’s deepening labour shortage roils harvest as unpicked fruits rot

Ripe mangosteen and rambutan hang unpicked from trees in eastern Thailand, where a shortage of migrant workers is forcing growers to decide which crops are valuable enough to harvest and which will be left to rot. For Jomsak Putirattana, who also grows durian in Chanthaburi province, the departure of his five Cambodian workers after a border dispute disrupted crossings has intensified competition for labour. Daily wages have more than doubled in some cases, from about 350 baht to 400 baht (US$10...

AI can generate a video in minutes. Making it usable is the hard part

Generative AI has made video creation remarkably fast. A scene that once required a camera crew, actors, locations and hours of post-production can now begin with a prompt and an idea. But after working with AI-generated cinematic videos, I have learned that generating a video quickly and producing a video that is actually usable are […] The post AI can generate a video in minutes. Not just about tax: why Australia’s tech entrepreneurs are moving to Singapore

Investor Ben Lindsay relocated from Sydney to Singapore in March, with wife and dog in tow – his sights set on growing venture capital firm Investible from an Australian outfit into an Asia-Pacific one. Lindsay is among a growing number of investors, businessmen and tech founders from down under who are setting up bases and relocating to Singapore, Dubai and San Francisco to expand their company’s reach. For example, Australian billionaire Adrian Portelli, founder of savings and rewards platform...

Don’t leave Asia’s ageing debate until it’s too late

Last month, Japan’s internal affairs ministry released its yearly data ahead of Respect for the Aged Day. People aged 65 and over now make up a record 29.6 per cent of the population. But the figure I keep coming back to was this: 9.43 million Japanese workers were 65 or older last year, about 13.8 per cent of everyone with a job. Members of Japan’s older population are not simply retired. A large part are still at work and some of those people are the ones businesses depend on. The Asia-Pacific...

AI fuelling growth while putting Asia’s young workers at risk, IMF meeting hears

An investment surge into artificial intelligence may be helping prop up a global economy battered by energy supply shocks, but the technology’s potential to cull jobs requires swift mitigation if Asia’s youth are to secure a place in the future workforce, delegates were warned at the IMF–World Bank annual meetings in Bangkok on Monday. Soaring energy prices, persistent inflation and mounting debt framed the opening of the week-long summit, which was last hosted in the Thai capital in...
